Favorites: May 2013

So it has been over a month since I last posted, but I am going to get back into the swing of things from now on (fingers crossed).  I thought it would be a good time to do my first ever Favorites post. So here we go...

May Favorites!

To get the ball rolling, I have been loving the “Soap & Glory: Foam Call”. The scent of this, how can I begin to explain? It’s like heaven on earth or a Grape seed, Orange, Soapy bottle of goodness. This body wash leaves my skin feeling soft and smelling absolutely divine.

Next up is the “Origins: Stay Tuned- Balancing face makeup”. I was after a new Foundation so thought I would give this a whirl and boy am I glad that I did. I have oily skin so I always had to set my foundation with a powder but with this there is no need to, it doesn't melt off at all and my face isn't left “Shining bright like a diamond” (come on, you know you want to sing it) at the end of the day.

I decided it was also time to purchase a new foundation brush and I had heard that “Kit Cosmetics” had just released a new brush. The “Kit Foundation” brush is a retractable brush that lets you apply foundation evenly and then blend by making the brush more, fluffy? It’s just a really good brush.

I have been loving the “Urban Decay: Naked 2 Eye shadow pallet”. I have had this since November, 2012 but have only just recently been using it every day and ah it’s just amazing. Need I say anymore?

And finally, I have been finding myself reading "frankie" magazine a lot lately. It is an Australian magazine that covers design, art, photography, fashion, travel, music, craft, home and life and it has the cutest front covers ever. I think that it is also sold in New Zealand and the UK.

And that’s all I have for today’s post. I shall be posting more often from now on. Bye!

A Review: LUSH

Since I have now officially started my own blog, I may as well post something worth reading.

A few weeks ago I was in LUSH looking to pick up a new face cleanser. The lovely store worker recommended that I give ‘Angles On Bare Skin’ a try. So without knowing much about the product at all, I purchased it and was on my way.

‘Angles On Bare Skin’ is a Fresh Facial Cleanser that evens out skin tone, reduces redness and improves the health and appearance of your skin, giving a natural healthy glow, well that’s what it says on the packaging anyway.

At first I wasn't too sure on it. It smelt really strange, like nothing I had ever smelt before and the texture was just plain weird.  After a few uses, I started to notice the redness on my cheeks to die down and every morning I was waking up with super duper soft skin. The smell has since grown on me, being just a really, really, really strong Lavender scent and the texture doesn't seem to bother me anymore. After using this product for over 4 weeks now, I am down to my very last bit of it (hence the reason of no photos of the actual product itself).

If you have skin like mine, oily and prone to redness, I would defiantly recommend giving this ago. But if you don’t like the smell of Lavender then don’t even go and suss it out. I will defiantly be taking a trip back down to LUSH to pick up another pot of this glorious, but strong smelling cleanser.

Ok, here we go.

Ok, here we go.

I have wanted to start up my own blog for about a year or so now, and well I have finally came around to doing so.

What do you even write about in your first post? Maybe a little bit of history on me? Let’s just go with that. Well, my name is Amy. I come from the land down under, (or most commonly known as, ‘Australia’); I’m seventeen years of age, an avid tea drinker and live music devotee, and I am currently planning to go on a worldwide adventure. Well isn't that some fascinating information right there!

I just want to start a blog about my general thoughts, beauty, maybe throw in some DIY ideas here and there, just whatever pops into my head.
